Resolving "Unknown payment method..." on a web store import.
'Unknown payment method...' during webstore import
Web stores may have a list of payment methods that do not directly match the Payment Methods in Acctivate. When importing a web store order, if the web store payment method is different than Acctivate's, you may receive an error like:
Unknown payment method 'Authorize.net' (Subdocument 'order' Table 'SalesOrderXML' Column 'PaymentMethod' Original Value 'authnetcim' Converted Value 'Authorize.Net'
The following error notates the method of Payment from the webstore is specifically named 'authnetcim', which has a conversion set up in the webstore import map named 'Authorize.Net'. However, the actual Payment Method set up in QuickBooks and available in Acctivate is specifically called 'AuthorizeNet', excluding the period.
You can use the web store template's conversion table to convert the data from the web store value to Acctivate's value.
- Make note of the values in the message. In the example above, Authorize.net is unrecognized. We need to convert this to a value in Acctivate.
- Follow the Web Store Conversion steps to convert from the unrecognized value to the Acctivate value.
