Acctivate’s Database Hosting Service includes a fully managed and automated backup routine to protect your data from loss or corruption.
Backup Frequency and Retention

Daily Backups: Full backups of your Acctivate company database(s) are performed automatically once every 24 hours.

Retention Period: Backups are typically retained for 30 days, depending on your hosting environment and service level.
Backup Storage Location

All backups are stored in secure, encrypted cloud storage managed by Acctivate’s hosting provider.

The Amazon Web Services data centers meet industry-standard security and redundancy requirements.

Backups are stored in geographically redundant locations to ensure data availability even in the event of a regional outage.
Data Recovery
If a restoration is needed:

Contact Acctivate Support and provide your company name and the approximate date/time you wish to restore.

Support will assist in restoring your database from the most recent available backup.

Depending on the issue, recovery time may vary, but most restores can be completed within standard business hours.
Database Backup Requests
Approved users can request a backup by contacting Acctivate Support.
Customer-Managed Backups
If you maintain your own Acctivate database (not using the hosted service), you are responsible for implementing and monitoring your own SQL Server backup routine.
