Resolving a Custom Reports Error or Binding Error for CYMA?
If errors occur while printing after migrating Acctivate with CYMA to a new server, verify the custom reports are correctly linkto to the Reports section of Configuration Manager and print the reports. If the error still occurs, run Verify Database.
Occasionally, after migrating Acctivate with CYMA to a new server, the custom reports can run into errors when attempting to print. After verifying that the custom reports are correctly linked in the Reports section of Configuration Manager, try to print the custom report in question.
If you encounter the following error or something similar:
---------------------------
Crystal Report Viewer
---------------------------
Failed to retrieve data from the database.
Details: ADO Error Code: 0x80040e14
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Description: Could not use view or function 'ACCTivate_Demo.dbo.Invoice' because of binding errors.
SQL State: 42000
Native Error: 4413 [Database Vendor Code: 4413 ]
You may encounter it twice. Once before showing the preview (which will not appear) and following the click of the Print button on the preview window. After closing the error for the second time, Acctivate may crash.
Run Verify Database from within Database Maintenance. After a successful verify, attempt to print once again. The issue should be resolved.
