When creating an invoice in Acctivate, an existing credit can be applied. To link the credit to the sales invoice, QuickBooks Online uses a $0 payment, which Acctivate creates during sync.

For Acctivate companies integrated with QuickBooks Online, Acctivate syncs the invoice to QuickBooks and creates a $0 payment to link the invoice to the selected credit. This $0 payment includes a memo stating: “Created by Acctivate to link credits to charges.”

This memo is added automatically because Acctivate’s manual application of the credit overrides QuickBooks Online’s automatic credit application.
