FAQs
How can I fix an incorrect web service URL in the "Setup Mobile Device" menu?
Acctivate offers an easy way to setup mobile devices with a QR code that can be scanned and the webservice URL for quick reference. From time to time the URL and QR code may be incorrect. This article tells you how you can fix that.
The setup mobile device menu (located in File -> Setup Mobile Device) can be a great tool to help get a new mobile device setup quickly. However, from time to time the URL may be incorrect.
Acctivate will attempt to write it's best guess for the webservice URL to the Acct.ini file and the Acctivate database. Sometimes this URL may be incorrect. You are able to update it for future reference in Configuration Manager. Take the steps below to do so:
- Open Configuration Manager
- Open the "Mobile" section
- Click "Web Service"
- Click "Edit"
- Change the "Mobile Web Service URL" to the correct value.
- Click Save.
The "Setup Mobile Device" interface should update the QR code and the URL to be the new value.
