Repairing Acctivate

If you're receiving a runtime error or error about a broken component, you're able to repair Acctivate. See this article for steps on how to do that.

Our installer includes the ability to repair the Acctivate installation. This can help fix a variety of runtime errors.

One specific error that can be remedied by the repair function is "Error initializing report functionality: Component 'Codejock.CommandBars... or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid (339) unable to continue"

To repair Acctivate, take these steps:

  1. Head to our downloads page and download the installer on the affected computer. (Please ensure that you're downloading the same version of Acctivate that you're currently on. If you need an older version of Acctivate, it can be found here.)
  2. Run the installer file.
  3. Choose the "Repair" function
    1. Repair
  4. Wait until the installer finishes running through the repair.
  5. Reboot the machine.

The repair should be finished at this point. If you're still experiencing issues with Acctivate, do not hesitate to contact support.
