Resolving the "Linked item is not in the database..." message when creating a new note.
Every now and then, you may come across the following message when trying to save a new note to a new customer or product:
"Linked item is not in the database. If it is new, save the linked item, or relink this note to an item in the database"
This is not a bug or a glitch, but simply a warning informing you that a note cannot be saved to a customer or item that hasn't been added to the database yet. Even though you have created a new customer, if you haven't saved that customer, it isn't in the database. Notes can only be linked to items in the database.
To resolve this warning message, close the note box, save the customer, then add the note or notes.
