"New customer '...' already exists in QuickBooks and was merged. Please review this customer in Acctivate before the next sync."

The above customer sync warning indicates that Acctivate and QuickBooks Desktop both had a customer by the same name and therefore they were merged automatically during sync.

Sync warnings provide information about changes made during a sync. In many cases these warnings do not require action, but the warnings should be reviewed.

If a customer in Acctivate which has not been synchronized to QuickBooks Desktop yet has the same name as a customer already in QuickBooks, the sync will automatically merge the two records and log a sync warning, such as:

New customer '...' already exists in QuickBooks and was merged.  Please review this customer in Acctivate before the next sync.

This scenario would occur if a user enters a customer in QuickBooks Desktop, then enters the customer in Acctivate before running a sync. With Acctivate's bi-directional sync, the double entry of a customer is not required.
