Importing in Product Components
Import Product Components
To import Product components, first create an Excel spreadsheet with your column headings for each field name you wish to import. Using Import Data, map the file location for your spreadsheet to the Filename, choose the correct worksheet if you have multiple sheets in your Excel file, name your import, then use the Columns tab in order to map each Column to its corresponding field.
To add multiple components to a single product, simply list the “Parent Product ID” on each row with the next component. Parent Products must already exist in Acctivate in order to import components.
In order to import components, go to File > Import Data > Product Components.
- Required fields for Component Import:
- Parent Product ID
- Quantity
- Subcomponent Product ID
- Subcomponent Warehouse.
Make sure to add the full component list when importing. Acctivate clears out the component list for the parent prior to completing the import.
