There is not another Serial Number available to select.
You may run into this pop up while trying to select serial numbers for your order. This may occur whenever you add a serialized product to an order and change the product's control type to number when invoiced.
Solution: If you receive this error on a sales order, delete the product from the sales order and add the product back which will allow you to select serial numbers again.
