Resolving "There was an error retrieving data from QuickBooks...Allow this application to access Social Security numbers..." sync error
This error can be received in the Customer section of the QuickBooks sync, but the solution is straightforward
The following error can be received for the Customer section of the QuickBooks Desktop sync:
Error Customer [SynchronizeQBCustomers][GetQBCustomerRS][DoRequestsWithLog]Acctivate (-2147220735)
There was an error retrieving data from QuickBooks. Note that in order to access data that contains
accented letters or curly quotes, the "Allow this application to access Social Security Numbers, customer
credit card information,and other personal data" setting in QuickBooks' Integrated Application configuration
must be checked. Please enable this setting in QuickBooks and try again. See
C:\ProgramData\Alterity\Acctivate\Log\XMLLog.txt for details.
To resolve this error, it may be necessary to re-establish the Quickbooks Desktop connection. This can be done by following the steps in this KB. After completing these steps, the sync error should no longer occur.
