How to Use the Mobile Assembly Module.

Mobile Inventory Assembly is available in both Windows and Android. Please click here to quickly scroll to the Windows section.

Before beginning mobile assemblies, the admin user will need to decide if they would like Assemblies posted from the mobile device or only Created and Saved from the device(s).  To access this option, go to File > Configuration Manager > Mobile > Inventory Assemblies > Submitting assemblies on the Acctivate desktop app.  To allow users to post assemblies check the available box, to disallow un-check the box next to 'Allow posting assemblies from the mobile device'.

Android Mobile:

  1. Log into Acctivate on your Android device.
  2. From the main screen, select Assembly
  3. The Inventory Assembly page will open. From here you can either:
    1. Scan a barcode containing an assembly session number.
    2. Enter in a session number manually.
    3. Select from a list of open assemblies.
    4. Create a new assembly session.

Opening an existing assembly session:

  1. Either select or scan the assembly session to open.
  2. The assembly session will open, and you'll see the product to be assembled as well as the components. From here, you have a few options:
    1. Screenshot_20240108_142643
    2. If the assembly is custom or process:
      1. You can add a product by clicking the product barcode symbol in the top right corner. This will bring you to a screen where you can look up, enter or scan a product barcode.
      2. You can delete a product by holding down the line you'd like to delete for approximately two seconds. A black bar will appear at the top of the screen and a "Delete" button will be located in the top right.
    3. You can click the Pencil icon on the assembly product to open the assembly info screen.
      1. From here you can enter in the location the product will be assembled into if using multiple location.
      2. You can also enter the quantity being assembled, and if the assembly product is a process assembly, you can enter the yield.
      3. You can change the workflow status using the dropdown.
    4. You can click the product tag on the assembly product to open the product info screen.
    5. You can click on the individual rows to enter the component detail screen.
      1. If the product is not lot controlled you can enter in the quantity being used if for some reason it is different than the calculated standard.
      2. If the product is lot controlled you can either scan a Lot number barcode to add the lot number or click the #+ button to enter the lot entry screen. You can add as many lots as needed.
        1. In this screen you can enter or search for the lot number, enter in the quantity used for the lot and select the location if using multiple location.
    6. Once finished with the assembly session, you can click the checkmark in the top right corner.
      1. You'll be given a summary of the session including quick information such as session number, date, warehouse, qty, yield and more.
      2. From here you can slide the slider to the right to post the assembly session (if posting from mobile is enabled.)
      3. You can set the workflow status entered.
      4. You can choose the Split radio button to split off unassembled quantities into their own session.

Assuming you have all components in stock the assembly will post, and you'll be returned to the Inventory Assembly main screen. If the assembly has any errors such as out of stock components, the assembly session will be saved and can be re-opened or posted on desktop.

Windows Mobile:

  1. Log into Acctivate on your mobile device. Enter your login information (i.e. Company, User ID, Password) and then click the Login button.
  2. On the Main window, select the Inventory Option
  3. On the following window, select the Assemblies option
  4. On this next window the system will allow you to look up an Assembly Product, type a specific ID into the Prod field, or scan the Product ID from a barcode.
  5. Once a product is selected, you can enter in all the pertinent transactional information, such as Quantity, Yield (if process assembly), W/H, Location, Description, Lot/Serial #, Expiration Date, Reference, and Specification.
  6. To continue click the right arrow at the bottom, right hand corner
  7. The next window allows the user to review the components used in the assembly item chosen, as well as the quantities used in building the assembly.
    •  If you are using the Custom/Process Assembly module and need to adjust the quantity used for any component marked as variable, you can do so by selecting the product and overriding the quantity shown.
    • If you need to modify the list of components themselves, you'll need to save the session on the mobile device in order to edit this information on the desktop app. This includes adding lines for additional Lot/Serial numbers.
  8. Once you have reviewed and verified the components and quantities select the Green Check in the top Left Hand corner
  9. Based on the option in Configuration Management listed at the beginning, the next window will prompt you to save the assembly session for future modification and/or posting.
    • If you enabled the mobile users to post the created/modified assembly transaction(s) the check box 'Post Assembly Session' will be available to check.  If not, this option will appear grayed out.
    • If using Process assemblies, the user can specific the built Qty and Yield on this window.
    • If you elected to Post the assembly and a listed component has insufficient On Hand quantity a warning message will be displayed: Could not submit assemblies. Component 'X' does not have sufficient quantity on hand as of (date).  In order to move past this and post your assembly, you must resolve the On Hand Quantity discrepancy prior to posting.
  10. The next screen (Submitted) will confirm that the specific Assembly Session has been submitted and/or posted and will display the session number assigned.
    • For example, Inventory assembly session 57 posted, if posted, or Inventory assembly session 57 submitted, if saved only.
